Sitting at work missing the fam bam and hubby texts me he's having a rough day with the twinkies. I feel bad for him because I know how it is everything is doubled and doing it alone all the time gets to you after awhile. He is not the typical man.. He does anything and everything with the kids. He takes them to multiple stores to get things done. I am proud of him for taking on the world with the twinkies... So what are some ways you and your hubs de-stress? We don't have a lot of options for babysitting so try to save them for when we really need them. Hope you are all having a wonderful evening!

Good morning to everyone! It's actually Monday for me ( you know in the world of LE there is usually not a Monday on the actual Monday it's usually another day of the week!) Working the swing shift today while hubby is off with the kiddos! We usually average about 2 actual days off a month together where we actually get to sleep in the same bed for more then a few hours together! It gets hard and stressful, sometimes start thinking is it worth it but at the end of the day yes absolutely.... He is doing a job he loves, we are so proud of him, I love what I do, and there is someone always home with our kids. To reward ourselves we try to take a day off here and there or a few hours so that we can be NORMAL for a bit. How do you all adjust with the schedules changes and different hours?
Hope you all have a fantabulous Monday!

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund: Honoring America's Military Heroes: Today, at exactly 11 am, a color guard, made up of members from each of the military services, will stand watch during the annual Veteran’s...
Ok, here it goes..I am AJ I am 31 years old. I met my Husband CJ when I was just 20 years old. He was a reserve officer trying to get hired on full time. Shortly after we started dating he was offered his dream job and decided to go for it. He was 31 at the time. We got married in 2003 and have been together ever since. Together we have a combined total of 5 kids. CJ has one son from his high school sweetheart who is 22 years old. He then has his KJ who is 20 years rapidly approaching 21 next month! Yikes. He had his son MJ who is 17 years old, and last but not least together we have 3 year old boy/girl twins! WJ is our son and MD is our youngest little princess (yes she is in charge of everyone!). Along with my husband being a police officer, he has had numerous assignments that include detectives (homicide, robberies, everything), SWAT, field training officer, and most recently he was promoted to Corporal. I am a police dispatcher and have been going on about 9 years now. I have been a Communications trainer, acting supervisor, and also part of our mentor committee board at work. We work opposite schedules so that our little twinkies don't have to spend their days in daycare, not to mention that it's too darn expensive! We have a lot going on and don't really have a whole lot of family to help us. We rely on the family we do have and a few close friends. We have had our fair share of struggles through out our marriage that have included issues with meshing our home life and work life and making it work for us, struggles with the older kids adjusting to me, you name it we have been there. But in the end we have found our happy place and are making it work. We are thankful for what we have and we don't pass judgement because we have been in hard spots before and found ourselves in situations we never thought we would be in. I am doing this just to give myself an outlet of everyday stress and to let you have a place to post questions and have an outlet as well! I hope you all find this useful, I will be posting different things that include books, websites, blogs, facebook pages etc related to being a law enforcement spouse! I hope to hear from you all!!
